This page will eventually host easy-to-install plugins for multiple popular Content Management System (CMS) and blogging frameworks, such as WordPress and Joomla!.

Joomla! Plugin

The AntiPhorm Joomla! plugin is now available for download. This is a standard plugin for Joomla!, consisting of a mambot and module pair, that allows you to very easily add Phorm-like spyware detection to your Joomla! site (gosh, all those ! marks are annoying).

This module gives you the option of detecting Phorm-like activity in two ways - via cookie interference detection, or by the presence of the visitor's IP address in the PhormCheck database - or both. Once you've detected a suspicious-looking visitor, you can choose how to handle them - you can block them completely from your site by redirecting them automatically to an information page, or you can display a warning banner that will inform them of the dangers to their privacy.

Configuration is via the standard Joomla! administration panel, in the properties pages for the mambot (used to configure redirection) and the module (used to configure banners). For IP address detection, you can select which types of PhormCheck entries will be checked - allowing you to have complete control over the political statement you're making about Phorm-like spyware. And of course, you can place the module anywhere you like in your template, to choose where to show the banner if it is displayed.
